I just converted my iWeb site to Express and am stunned and amazingly happy to have stumbled on Express.
That was the first step, the conversion. Now I want to learn what options I have with Freeway to modify and improve the site. I see that there are “actions” but I don’t have any way of knowing what those actions are and do. Is there anyplace that can clarify that? Many of them are over my head, no doubt, but some are probably going to be very helpful. Or so I assume!
I thought I’d add a Pinterest action to a page, just as a test really. It is on my desktop right now and when I click on it it says that it is replacing an earlier loaded version. So it is in Freeway somewhere, but I can’t find it. Can anyone help?
I assume that if I can find it I can open the actions window and it will tell me what to do? Is that true for all actions?
Finally, I’m wondering if Pro would be of any benefit for me. I’m not interested in programming at all, or working under the hood in any way, but are there graphic or layout help there?
There are Tutorials and Knowlegebase articles over at the softpress.com site and Video tutorials too which are on iTunes (Freeway Moments)
You should really look at the comparisons between Express and Pro to help you decide whether you want to go the Pro route.
As to the Pinterest action - it sounds like it is installed already but depending on which OS you have will tell us where it is located.
To use it - From the main menu, choose Insert>Action-Item>Pinterest. You will see a little (43 x 20 pixels) element roughly in the middle of your screen. Drag it to where you would like it to appear on your page.
Hi David,
Thanks for your response. The video tutorials on iTunes sounds very promising.
My OS is 10.7.4. Running on a MacBook from 2009.
I don’t see Pinterest when I go to the Insert>Action-Item menu. What I see there is what appears to be the same list I get when I click on the Action icon in the toolbar.
