Google Analytics

Hi

I have just finished a website for a client, created in Freeway.
The site is live, they want to be able to use Google Analytics on the site and have sent me some code to put into the site, so they can do this (code from Google)
Anyone know how you do this etc
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,
You can do this in one of two ways. You can add the code they have
provided directly to your Freeway pages using Page/HTML Markup (add
the code at [before end body] and apply it to a master page to have it
apply itself automatically to all it’s children) or use the built in
Google Analytics action. Apply the action to your page (or master) and
enter the site ID in the actions palette. The ID should be in the code
the client provided to you.
Here a link to Google’s help topic on adding the code manually;

Regards,
Tim.

apologies for the bump, but I don’t seem to have the Google Analytics action (I’m using freeway express). There is a google adsense action and maps, but that’s it.

If I have to put in the HTML, where and how do I do it? Would I use a Mark-up item?

Also, what does google analytics do to the layout of the page?

Thanks!

OK, I’m obviously dumber than a dumb thing, because I thought I’d put the code in on the master page, but when I go to preview, I get:

Publish Problems

PARAMETER HAS NO VALUE. The following Actions have a parameter that requites a value.

The Parameter “SiteCode” “Google Analytics”, Page: Beloved Touch Sterling Silver fingerprint Pebbles".

and on each and every page thereafter.

I obviously put it in wrong. On the master page the code is showing up at the bottom of the page though you can’t see any text on any of the child pages.

on the page menu to the left there are icons which seem to indicate there has been an action applied to each page.

So how do I get the code where it’s supposed to go?
