Any idea why a Google Maps API would work perfectly when the website is on my laptop at home and then when I publish to the internet it fails with the message:
My first thought on this would be on how your site is hosted.
Is it a shared host, one domain parked on top of another or something else like that and so the ‘host’ domain is not the domain you signed up to get the key for.

I entered http:/soloniuk.com when I signed up for the key.
All 3 keys I have had over the last 36 hours work great on my DSL connection at my office on my office laptop, but fail when I move the site up to the web?
