Google not using Description TAG anyomore?

Is it just me, or is Google not displaying the “description” TAG
anymore.

Now we have shuffled the SEO pack of cards with our new site, I’m
seeing that Google does not list your description TAG, and is using
content from the page, or a mixture of both description TAG and content.

Anyone else noticed this?

David

Its probably happened some time ago and did not notice the shift.
Google is generating its own page description, which just goes to show
the importance of plenty of relevant searchable text on a page.
