Grouping and pushing content around in FW 5

Hi,

I’m trying out Freeway 5. I have a HTML box set up with some text and
another HTML box below that with some more text. If I go into
the .html file generated by Freeway and add to the content in the
first HTML box in Freeway, the border around the box grows and the new
content is inserted (which is what I’m looking for), but the box below
doesn’t move down… it just floats on top of the other box in the
same position it was when I published the site from Freeway 5.

First thing I thought was, maybe if I group the two boxes in Freeway.
So I selected them and selected “Group” from the Item menu. Tried my
manual addition to the new .html file I generated from Freeway. Same
behavior as before. So I figured I would ungroup the two boxes…
er… how do I ungroup the two HTML boxes?

And after I get the boxes ungrouped. Does anyone have any ideas of
what I need to do to get that second box to push down as the first one
grows?

Thanks,

Never mind on the above. I was clicking on one of the items in the
group an although it was showing the “Group” border in blue around the
entire thing… I didn’t actually have the “Group” selected. Clicked
outside the group and just dragged a selection rectangle over it and
the “Group” itself was then selected not one of the items in it, and
then the “Ungroup” option became available.

Still interested in how to go about pushing that lower HTML box around
though when content is added to the upper one.

Thanks,

Hi Mike; paste the second box inside the first one, at the end, and
click the ‘height’ button in the Inspector so that it’s dimmed, for
both boxes.

Hi Paul,

My fault, forgot to mention that the first HTML box has been set up
with a graphic effect background, border, and rounded corners and the
second has nothing and I want it to appear to be below the first (not
inside it). Perhaps putting both boxes into a larger one?

That’s it exactly.

Yes, that’s it, and you can space them apart by applying margins to
each, or one.

I grouped two graphic items (copy box over color box) and inadvertently grouped them with the page background which is a large gif. When I discovered the mistake, I clicked on the grouped items, but the ‘ungroup’ button does not appear! What am I missing? How can I ungroup these items?
Thanks.
