Actually, you’re taking on Walt here and he knows rather a lot -
including the behaviour of the palettes. I’ve just tested it out and
they do indeed reappear where they are last opened but only if one
quits when Freeway is the topmost window/app running. Thanks Walt.
So, a bug, which I hope Softpress sort.
Since when was 2001 “5 years ago”?
The GUI is perfectly good IMHO. It may not reflect Apple’s latest
tweaks but then look at the Apple website - a bit puritan. there’s a
lot to be said for letting things stay familiar. This isn’t the motor
trade or the mobile phone business after all. It’s a tool not an end
product so doesn’t need to chase the latest fashion, or desperately
try to set the fashion to remain competetive. I’d rather the
Softpress team were tuning the engine than styling the headlights again.
