Hi all,

Just a quickie…my Mac won’t switch on for about 20-30 minutes after turning it off, although when started it works fine. Is it likely to be the back-up battery?

What model Mac? Did you try “zapping the PRAM”?

The lithium batteries on most modern Macs last 5-7 years. It sounds a lot like that’s your problem, and they are around $8 to replace so it would be a cheap troubleshooting step to try.
