Are you using FW’s built in upload facility?

This file is created by FW as a spacer to pad layouts and to stop empty table cells from collapsing.

Yesterday you didn’t have the upload problem?

Try holding down the Option ( or is it Control) key while you do File >Publish (should change to Publish Everything)

And once you have done that do another Upload.

If that doesn’t work then look at File>Document Setup and under the Upload Tab see what your FTP setting is Passive etc and try a different setting (can’t remember all the options off hand)

Try an upload with a different setting. Quite often Toggling this can do the trick.

There is an option to Save FTP log in the Upload tab of File>Document Setup

It might be worth doing that and sending the subsequent log file to support (at) softpress.com so they can have a look at it for you.

I cannot remember exactly where the log file is stored on your HD and I am not at my Mac to check just now but if you do a search here for ‘FTP log file’ you should be able to find where it is stored.

Hi, I believe _blank.gif is in all websites although I have only used Freeway Pro.

If I were having an FTP issue I might switch FTP clients. I love my Cyberduck FTP client and it is very affordable shareware. Good luck and think about trying any 3rd party FTP client and I think your troubles will go away.

I would NOT try and get rid of _blank.gif.

_blank.gif is used in the IE clear PNG fix built into all versions of Freeway. This is not something you want to be without, unless you want your IE users to wake up and realize that they are using the Internet equivalent of an oatmeal box and some kite string instead of a browser.
