Designed a master page. Included in the top row (above the picture) is a line of individual CSS rolovers that I have used as a menu.
After adding some other elements to the master page the top CSS rolovers aren’t visible anymore when I publish the site or when viewed as a preview.
However they are still visible in the master and page mode.
The page is an CSS box model type. With the execption of the (invisible) rolover menu that is layered on top.
Check you see if one of your other layer items are covering your rollover menu. Look in the site list, and if you see anything in the list BELOW the menu then that is probably the culprit.

Ok, two possible issues. First one relates to changing a CSS styled object outside the master that originates on the master. Changes later to the master will not appear on the page modified object because the link the master page has been broken
Second one relates to making individual css objects to make a menu. This is possible to do of course, but because the objects are now separate they could become dislodged so to speak and disappear. You would be better served if you made your CSS menu from a single list and styled accordingly.
