Help: transparent CSS menu

Need assistance, and am new to FW5 Express.

Am creating a small CSS menu over a jpeg.
Unable to see the jpeg through the menu’s background.

The CSS menu background is set to none.
Am able to see page color through the menu.

Am I attempting the impossible?

The only way you can do this is by making the HTML item containing the
menus smaller than the menus, otherwise Freeway will make a hole in
the image the size of the HTML item.

There were issues with menus with no background color in IE for
Windows (although I can’t repeat them here now) so could you post a
link once you have successfully made the page please.

Cheers,

Joe

Joe,

Thanks for the tip. I think I follow what you’re suggesting, but seems an odd workaround. (Have tried such an approach, but still see a hole, though certainly smaller.)

For the moment, may just have to rethink the design. Frustrating.
