help with image rollover gallery

Ok,
I’m missing something here, maybe someone can shed some light. I’m trying to learn how to do the image rollover gallery that is part of the 3 tutorials on the site(maurice cowley site).
I get the thumbnails duplicated, and make my large target image, and then duplicate once, and then import the big versions of the thumbs. However, once I go to click on one of the target images to apply target, and pull up actions, there are no pictures listed on the left hand side for my images. I went through and duplicated each one, I imported each one, what am I missing?

Try selecting the set of images for one of your rollovers and
grouping them together. This should do the trick.

If this is a weakness in the tutorial, perhaps through being written
to work for Express users, I hope someone can fix this soon!

sorry,
not sure i follow.
I already took the marquee tool to select all the thumbs and dupe once. I am at the bringing in the large target image each, and duping, and importing, and once i’m done, and applying the target, and bringing up actions window, only one is usually listed.

But you haven’t grouped anything, have you? That’s the trick for
this particular process: group a stack of layered items and they will
then be listed all together in the Rollover setup array in the
Actions palette.

Hi Keith,

There is a large notice at the start of the tutorials saying that Pro
users should turn the CSS Layout button off.

Waderck:

The problem you are having is that each graphic item is on a separate
layer (because your CSS Layout button is on) meaning that they cannot
combine. Since they are all separate items they are treated as such in
the Action palette. If you group them (this contains them within the
same item and automatically places them on the same layer, combining
them) then you will get the desired effect, alternatively you can
select each one and disable the Layer option in the Inspector palette
and then reapply the Action.

Hope this helps.
