Help with Weaver's Lightbox Action

Hi there

I’ve been using Weaver’s excellent Lightbox Image action from http://www.coastalrugs.com/Actions/misc.actions.html for some time but now I’ve come across a limit that has left me stumped - it only allows seems to allow 11 images in a sequence.

I’m putting catalog pages online and sometimes need to show more than 11 pages in sequence. I tried linking it to a file on the pasteboard which had the same group name but that didn’t work. I also tried the folder part of the action but it wouldn’t let me select one. I could split the sequence but I’d rather avoid this if at all possible.

In desperation I finally tried to edit the action myself to increase the number of images allowed but as I’m totally in the dark all I got was a JavaScript error!

I’m hoping some great actioneer may be able to edit the Lightbox action for me to allow me to get more images in a sequence so I can resume my work. The action is used widely throughout the very large site so I don’t want to change to something else at this late stage.

Many thanks

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

It is possible with the stuff you have… If you add a group name into the lightbox you have already created and then start a second lightbox (text only link)… call it the same Group name and add the extra images. Once you have finished, delete the text, just leaving the box and all being well it should work like a charm.

I used it on a recent site… if you look at the clothing section (Musto brand) there are definitely more than 11 images in the lightbox.

Hope it helps

Hi Jon

Thanks for the tip. I went with something similar using a small 10x10 transparent graphic. Although I made a note on the pasteboard I’m likely to forget about the split images in the future! That’s why I was looking for an all-in-one solution.

Thanks again

Gordon
