I love this site, and would like to add the same functionality to a new site design:

You could get pretty close to the layout of the center portion of the
page using the Carousel Action set to a vertical animation. This page
uses a fade between panes, and Carousel would use a gliding animation
to change tabs, but the effect would be reasonably close.
