How can you crop a photo to size in FW?

I am not proficient at Pixelmater (Mac equivalent of PhotoShop) so I keep guessing on getting a photo sized just right.

Is there a way to crop a photo to fit in FW?

Draw a graphic box on your page. With the graphic box selected choose Import from the file menu and select the image you want in the box. When the graphic box is selected you will see a crosshairs with arrows and the cursor will become a hand when you roll over it. Click inside the graphic box and drag your image to position it where you want inside the box. The borders of the box become your crop.

And with the graphic box selected Shift+Alt+Cmd+> scales it up and Shift+Alt+Cmd+< scales it down

Far away from that technique, I usually never crop an image. The keywords here are: masking (print) and slicing (web) to keep the original image and only use those parts I want. And if somebody wants to have “pass-through” or (my pref method) apply the image as bg to a HTML-item it is necessary to anyway prepare carefully all your image-stuff.

A true and 100% timesaver to do (not only for quick’n dirty) is:

Simple, clean, cool … so I think worth to recommend.
