How do I close a series of popup windows?

How do I close a series of popup windows?

I have a page of text which includes 16 words to which I have applied
the ‘Link to New Window’ action.
These open small windows showing pictures which illustrate the text.

This is the site - www.eileennisbet.co.uk. then go to the ‘Text’ tab.

The problem is that when the viewers have finished, they have to
manually close 16 windows.
Can anybody think of a way of preventing the need for this tedious chore?

I don’t want to incorporate the pictures into the text.
The pictures must never be obscured by the text, so I can’t make the
popups open in the same window.
Also, I can’t use the ‘Self Closing Popup’ Page Action because it only
closes the 16th popup, leaving the other 15 to close manually.

It’s a bit of a poser, isn’t it?

It’s not that hard to fix. First, make the content of all your popups
a regular size. Pick one size that fits the largest element, and
design the others to be that size as well. Then on all of your popup
links, be sure to name them exactly the same in the Actions palette.
This will cause the first click to open the sized window, and every
subsequent click to load the requested content into the same window.
When you click on the main page, the popup “slips” behind the main
window, but when you send another window.open() command (which is
what the various flavors of Spawn New Window and Link to New Window
do) to the same window name, that hidden window is brought forward
again – recycled – and filled with the requested content.

Very funny! That’s my puppy Rosie. (She’s 3, but still a puppy at heart.) She’s a standard poodle, mostly white, very friendly, loves to run and jump ridiculously high, and keeps the cat on his toes.
