How to do this?

Good morning,

A friend of mine asked me to build a few html pages wit some kind of placeholders for images and text.

The idea is that I build the frame so to speek, and that he, later on, can ad/change the images himself.

He does not have Freeway our dreamweaver our experience in this field?

How can this be solved ? How do I do this

Thx

it seems incredibly complicated at first sight.
There seems to be a plugin for freeway , I do not find this however.
And, do I build the pages with freeway, our must it be done in another way?

thx

You download the WebYep plain version (http://www.obdev.at/downloads/webyep/english/WebYep_Plain_1.7.2_en.zip)
Then get the FW action from: http://www.max-izzat.co.uk/shop.html

Of course otherwise would someone create an action “for Freeway”?..

Andre,

I do not know if one can use the plugin for editing webgalleries created with Freeway Showcase? Do you have any experience with it ?

You can’t use WebYep to edit a Showcase gallery, but WebYep has its own photo gallery widget built in, which any authorized user can edit without Freeway or a Mac.

what I need now is a a WYSIWYG in-browser Editor that works with Safari !!
I tried the RTE editor, but I can not upload that to the opt folder ??
The TinyMCE editor does not work in Safari…

How can I solve this problem because the client will want to be able to properly format his text I presume …

Thx

I just did that, and it works, but only with rich text fields, not with short text fields our so?
Is that normal behavior ?
And if it is, how can I format short text and long text items?

thx

CKeditor is only for rich text fields. In the CKeditor you can use H1 headings and get Freeway to style these for you. Just edit the H1 style in Freeway (make sure its only called H1).

A plain text item you can add a style class name in WebYeb and do the same in Freeway (or surround the plain text with the correct style by applying it to the line or HTML box.

Styling CMS items will send you on a journey of understanding how CSS works.

Ok, thx,

I want to add a solid black border around the images, and according to the WebYeb manual all I have to do to achieve that is ad “Style=border:1px solid black;” under the extended button in the action ?
I did that, but it won’t work ?
Any ideas ?

@ David: I do not understand what you mean by:
“or surround the plain text with the correct style by applying it to the line or HTML box” ?
