How to tile page images effectively?

Hi have been experimenting with my own images for page backgrounds. One I wanted to do was set a 2 color background with diagonal lines. I sampled a piece I liked from a web site using grab tool. When I tile it you can see where the image ends and the next one begins because the diagonal lines don’t match up, Is there a way in freeway to get a clean diagonal lined background. thanks

Is there a way in freeway to get a clean diagonal lined background.

Page background images have to be made externally, or at least
exported and then brought back into Freeway. However it is designed,
that is how it will tile. If it doesn’t tile smoothly then you’ll
have to go back and remake the graphic.

Sorry!

Trying to grab the exact area to create a perfect repeating background is very difficult, you could try http://www.stripegenerator.com/

Or there are a full list of pattern generators at 15 Online Background Generators | SingleFunction

There’s no way to do this in Freeway, but in Photoshop there’s a very
simple trick: use the Filter / Other / Offset filter set to roughly
half the height and width of your tile element. So if you have a 200 x
300 original, set it to 100px horizontal offset and 150px vertical.
That way if you run that filter twice you will be back where you
started from. When you run it once, you will see exactly what a tiled
version of the pattern will look like at the corners, because you have
effectively moved the edges into the center of the image area.

If your pattern offsets at a 45° angle, then you need to make sure
your tile is square. If your pattern offsets at a different angle,
then make sure that the difference between height and width of your
tile matches the slope of that angle (so that a diagonal drawn between
the bottom-left and top-right corners is exactly the same angle).
