HTML and Non-HTML Item Conflict

I apologize for all the questions lately, but it seems I get one thing sorted out and break something else in the process.

I’d like to improve the appearance of some of the “buttons” on my website, making them change colour / font colour when someone hovers over them. The Rollover action item works perfectly for this. Create 2 non-layered, non-HTML items, apply the appropriate styles to each item, apply and set-up the action, voila! Works great.

Unfortunately, the drop-down menu for my site (created with the CSS Menu action tool) conflicts with the now non-HTML buttons and they don’t appear in preview or live view because HTML and non-HTML items can’t display with each other.

Any suggestions for an alternate approach to the hover / change appearance functionality that will co-exist with the CSS Menu action?

Again, thank you for dealing with a complete novice. Your assistance is truly appreciated!

Regards,

Sue

PS - No example posted, but the website I am working on is www.arkadaslik-yachting.com/trial. I can post an example if that would be helpful.

Just realized I posted this to the wrong list - should have gone to Freeway. Sorry about that.

The good news is that I resolved the problem  Created a layer, inserted the non-layer / non-HTML items inside of it. Everything is good!

Sue
