HTML border show as filled background

I created some HTML borders on a newly designed webpage with FWE 5.2.

They show up fine on my Mac in Safari 3.1.2 and Firefox 2. However in a Windows environment with IE they show up as filled boxes (background) in a grey colour.

Is this a know issue ?

Help would be very much appreciated.

There is an option in Freeway Pro to turn on IE6/7 compatibility. With that on, you shouldn’t see this issue. Without it, you are seeing the way that Windows IE doesn’t fully understand the PNG image format.

Even with the IE6/7 compatibilty the graphic effects on HTML items
will not be transparent. This is because IE doesn’t support
transparency in the type of graphics (background CSS) that are being
used by the feature. There is no way round this. IE 7 isn’t affected.

@ waltd.
I use Freeway Express, which hasn’t that option. (but i believ it defaults to that). the only "action I have is teh Eolas patch, but that is something different isn’t it.

@ Joe

Thanks for clarifying. As most of my visitors don’t use IE 7, I have to make some design changes.
