HTML box set as a TRIGGER

Hi,

does somebody know how to set a Html box as a Trigger.
In my case I want on RollOver a CSS-Menu to hide an other html box, like the cssRollover action, but with my own html box.

Thanks, Raff

Do you want rolling over an HTML box to trigger an effect elsewhere on
the page? Or do you want rolling over a normal linked object (graphic
or text) to trigger the show/hide of an HTML box?

i would like rolling over an HTML box to trigger an effect elsewhere on the page.

when that´s not working it would be ok. rolling over a html text, part of an css menu for triggering something…

Thanks a lot !

I think the problem is that we are not 100% sure exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Do you have an example we can look at somewhere?

Have a look at this - is it something like this you want to happen? http://www.deltadzine.net/test/formget.html

Attention FX in play here (ignore the text in the top box - not relevant to what you want). Click the top text box to see it work. There are various options available.

I made a navigation using css menu, with drop down sub menus.
under the main css menu there is a i-frame, loading a flash website.
internet explorer and opera, (pc version), load the i frame over my css drop down submenu. so you cant see it and so you cant navigate any more.
i had the idea to solve this problem, pasting the iframe into a graphic box, so that i can hide the layer when triggered via an roll over.
now my problem is, that i want to trigger the i-frame box, when i roll over the css menu.
i don´t care, if it is triggered, when i rollover the whole html box or if i roll over a word in my css menu.

(safari & firefox don´t load the iframe over the css menu, so at a mac it works fine and i wouldn´t need such a solution.

my second idea for solving this problem would be, to tell the css menu, when the mouse went over it, to come to the front, into the first layer, over the i-frame. but i don´t know how this could work?

Thanks a lot for helping me out here, it took me ages to work out my design and now it´s not working, I´am getting crazy with webdesign and the hundred browser possibililties!

It may be that you are approaching this from the wrong direction and instead should be trying to find a solution for the iFrame/Flash issue.

Great Great Great, you are my dear david!!! Thanks a lot, it works exactly the way it should. in theory. i´l work it out, letting you know if the explorer eat it.

( the flash is a closes system, it is generated with adobe light room, so there is no possibility for me changing something in the sfw. )
