html rounded corners

Hi,

Sorry for yet another rounded corners issue.
I’m trying to get an html div to have rounded corners but when viewed in a browser the slicing repeats top and bottom, two or three times.
It ‘Previews’ ok in Freeway but doesn’t work within a browser. I can get it to work if I apply an external glow (same colour as background) but this doesn’t seem quite right.

Any thoughts what’s up.

regards,

seoras

Any leading in your “p” tag? Sometimes it happens to me when I have leading set there.

Perhaps a link?

Hi Dan J,

I’ve no text in the div but did try it with some but result is just the same.

I don’t have any web space for a test link.

thanks,

seoras

Problem solved !!

The page needs to be set to html 4.01 transitional. I had it set for xhtml 1.0 strict.

Anyway hope thats it.

Wow, I hope that’s not the case. Can you repeat this in a completely vanilla and brand new document?

Hi Walter,

Have a look here:
scottish-photography.co.uk/test2.html
scottish-photography.co.uk/test3.html

I’ve added a screen grab also just incase it appears differently on your browser.

Sorry but you will have to add the www. the last time I posted a test link here it got picked up in a flash by google and appeared right after the clients index page, very embarrassing. It still appears I think despite being removed. This might still appear of course.

I see your screenshot, and I do understand that’s what you see in your browser, but I’m not seeing it here in my browser. Your test page looks the same in either HTML 4 or XHTML.

Walter,

Safari is the only browser it appears ok with. Camino (my preferred browser), Firefox and Opera show as per screengrab. What are you viewing on.

I’ll fire-up my pc laptop and have a look there.

thanks.
