HTML5 Video Action & Flash

I have used the HTML5 Video Action on a site:

When the site is viewed in IE the action uses FlowPlayer to show a Flash movie instead. I know there is a problem with CSS Menus displaying behind Flash and have found posts about the fix using wmode - transparent, but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem here.

I guess it is because you can’t select the Flash movie in Freeway. The item in Freeway is the HTML5 movie.

Any ideas?

Hi Ralfy,

There’s been an update to the script that the Action uses - when I get a few spare minutes I shall update the Action, not sure when that will be at the moment though.

In the meantime, take a look here if you fancy adding it to your page yourself: http://wiki.github.com/etianen/html5media/getting-started

Once you’ve added it you need to add the following custom code to your page in Freeway for the menus to appear in front of the Flash:

  1. On the page with the movie go to the Page menu and choose HTML Markup

  2. Select Before from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the dialog that appears

  3. Paste the following code:

Hope this helps,

Joe
