Hype animation issue

I have a long-standing site built with Freeway. I recently upgraded to version 6 and all of the Hype animations I created prior to the upgrade work properly.

I updated one of the animations today (using the same version of Hype as before) but while the animation previews correctly on its own in Safari, when previewed internally or with a browser, the animation is blank.

I noticed that when in page view, if I switch to the page where this animation was placed, the page goes blank and I have to switch to another page and back to get a refresh.

Is there something going on with Freeway 6 that would break this?

I’ve created and deployed several dozen Hype animations before the upgrade without an issue, but this is the first one I have updated since the upgrade. The only difference is that Freeway processed the 5.5 site with the previous animations in place, but this one was updated after the upgrade.

Here’s the code (double-checked for accuracy and the resource folder is in the correct location):

I’m interested in this one as well Trey as the same thing has happened to me recently. I ended up re-exporting the animation and then adding the code again, which seemed to work the 2nd/3rd time.

I also created a test 5.5 doc with a working animation, then opened it in 6 (with conversion) and it worked. I then tried copying the markup object into my FW6 site doc and it didn’t work.

I don’t think this is a Hype issue.

Another curious thing. When inserting a markup object in 6 the default size is a tiny 10 x 16 pixels instead of 101 x 101 as before.

I waited a good while before upgrading to 6 so that early adopters could scout for bugs. Since moving my company’s (rather large) site to 6 I’ve done a lot of work on the site. If this breaks Hype for inserting new animations, this is a problem. If I switched back to the 5.5 version I would have to redo a good forty hours’ work.

Hello again Trey, yes it seems like there’s a problem there, and as you say, with FW6.

However I’m in the process of doing 3 sites in FW6 using little Hype animations and they’re working. Admittedly I had to republish and then recopy the animation code a couple of times (whereas in 5 it ‘just worked’), but all fine in the end. So just try re-exporting the animation and then trying again.

Just a thought, one thing that caught me out was that I’d put a border on one of the holding boxes for the animations, and this changed the size of the box and the animation didn’t show.
