hyperlink in Exhibeo

hey does anyone know how to add a link in Exhibeo Showtime…properly?
there is a spot in palette but is is not obvious, no indicator and once you hit the book it leaves the site.
no way to insert _blank
so a visitor who is not web savvy has to guess to hit the image
thx

sorry to ask same question here but I see request has been made with no responses

You must enter the hyperlink url manually - there is no linking function
similar to what you find in FWP. This means you must learn how url code
must work.

You can use absolute urls: http://www.domain.com/directory/file.html

You can use relative urls: file.html or directory/file.html

Hi Ernie thx
I know there is a place for a hyperlink inside the Exhibeo palette, which I inserted the url, but there is no reference indicator so the visitor knows there is a link

By clicking the image the link works but one would have to guess unless I write in the description area. Such as
“Click on image to purchase book on Amazon”

thx

Wow, I wonder how that works. Can you post a link to a sample show with this behavior?

Well, okay - there is no way to add an alt or title or any other extended
attribute tag – like in FWP. Exhibeo produces titles as h1 text and
descriptions as paragraph tag text, so you can be creative with the CSS…
and definitely you can say something like “click this image to buy this
now” or such in the Exhibeo title/description… However, I think most people
will recognize the image as a link when they see the browser recognoze the
image as a link when the cursor changes over the image.

I am with you in wanting more Pro-like control in Exhibeo - which I still
consider in its infancy.

I’d also like the option for links to open in a new window/tab rather than them having to be in the same window/tab.

All the best
