I need to create a Mailing list Form?

Ok I need to create a simple mailing list form where the user can opt to subscribe or un-subscribe via clicking buttons to become a member!

to see what I’m trying to achieve visit: www.euroalter.com

So will need a field to enter (THEIR) email address, then select an option (say subscribe) then submit!

Any ideas or help, tryed looking on knowledgebase and can’t seem to get anywhere!

Our web hosting control panel gives all accounts users Email distribution lists, and gives you sample code that subscribes or Unsubscribes users into mailing lists you create. You can then email all the people on the list, as and when you need to. Just copy / paste the code onto your Freeway page in HTML markup

Check it out this, and other must haves, by test driving a control panel here:

Its easy

I must add, the control panel can also email out e-mails in HTML format

Hi, how are you going to handle the users request to subscribe?

If you just want to receive an email with the subscription request you
could use a simple PHP script.

There are Freeway actions for forms also, the ‘PHP easiForm’ action
can do this but is not free and there is also the ‘PHP Feedback Form’
action which is free.

Hope this helps

I’m resurrecting this thread as we are wondering how the best way to do this is.

We use HostGator and it has mailing list capabilities, but how do we have people actually sign up for the mailing list?

Thanks.

I too am looking for a way to make a simple mailing list form within Freeway 5 - the above link does not seem to help any more. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks, Graeme

Have you looked in your Hosting providers Cpanel to see if they offer something similar.

The most basic way - which requires management from yourself - is to create a simple form in FW using the PHP Feedback form action which has the basic fields ie email address. subscribe/unsubscribe.

Look at this page ( http://www.freewayactions.com/product.php?id=019 ) for a simple form example you can download and instructions on how to use the action.
