Hi Mike (telefonica.net? interesting),
sorry for the delay, I had some temperature and had to lay in bed.
Sorry but I have no idea and a search of the list for this turned
nothing up that I can find, but I do vaguely remember this being a
problem for someone else a while back though, anyway…
I also did a bit of googling in freewaytak and found nothing.
Might it have something to do with the hack to get rid of the 404 bug
in MI ‘512 bytes hack para evitar el bug 404 del Internet Explorer’,
is there a reason for wrapping everything in a frameset or is that the
hack? have you tried it without this?
Yes, it seems the issue had to do with it. Actually the domain name
was redirected to a URL and not an IP. The ISP added that code in the
redirection the to URL. Now I have redirected the domain to its IP.
The issue seems to have disappeared, can anyone confirm checking my
website in IE 6 or IE7? thanks.
Would using layers and setting your bg image there maybe help?
It is so made originally, as a matter of fact, the “Inicio” page and
“Publicaciones” pages, are so done. But I get better results on the
speedway placing the main image as a background because it gets
placed as a kind of “pass-through” image.
It is not possible to read the code from the page as you have it in
the frameset so no idea as to the images you have used, not that it
would tell me anything but it might others, if people could see the
code it might help.
Yes it is possible
BTW, I see links such as: http://
boticabuela.com.mialias.netconsejos.htm
where I would expect http://boticabuela.com/netconsejos.htm or
http://boticabuela.com/mialias/netconsejos.htm
, am I missing something? This repeated image is not just a problem of
the consejos page but on most others in IE 6 although it doesn’t
happen for me on the main page, maybe looking to see what what you
haven’t done on the main page that has been done on the others!
In the main page the main image is placed as a graphic as jpeg (not a
layer) and “Combine Graphics” is deactivated, over it is the slogan
“Cosas buenas de toda la vida” as a gif and the navigation buttons
are rollover made of gifs, as “Combined Graphics” of course.
suerte con el problema
Saludos
Thanks
Mario

hi,
to simplify a complex grafic design, I decided to place part of a
graphic as backgroud image, that makes it possible to place that
ghaphic as a Pass-Through image and in this way it is possible to
place other images over that “Pass-Through” backgroud image.
But the problem is that when the whensite is scrolled up and down in
IE on windows the background image and the other images gets
streched or repeated and this cause strange image issues.
This only occurs in IE on windows. When If I stop using a background
image this issue dissapears.
The website is www.boticabuela.com → go to “Consejos” and you’ll
see the effect. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks
