iMac video probs?

Well I took the plunge…and have a ‘new’ Mac (secondhand, of course!)

It’s a 24" iMac running Yosemite at the moment, with a 1TB hard drive.

Now I selected a model that would still be capable of running Snow Leopard - as this is vital due to software use and need for Rosetta.

I’ve partitioned the disk on the new iMac and want to ‘clone’ my current hard drive to it. Connected up the Macs with an ethernet cable, they can see each other. Opened Carbon Copy Cloner on the old Mac and tried to select a target - my new ‘snowleopard’ partition shows, but has a small red ‘no entry’ symbol and I’m told that I don’t have permissions to access that folder.

Anyone know how I can make it permissioned so I can use it as the target destination for CCC?

I’m trying achieve a second bootable system on the new iMac, so Yosemite is in one partition and Snowleopard in the other - hopefully selectable at startup.

Any advice welcome, thanks

Hugh
