Image Relacement - IR

Been using Mike Rundle’s IR technique <http://phark.typepad.com/phark/2003/08/accessible_imag.html>because it’s supposed to be more screen reader friendly as compared to FIR. Minimal CSS and pretty compatible browser-wise from what I’ve seen so far. Several IR variations out there, anyone using something different that they like?

I’m still using “Phark Revisited” which is similar – negative
text-indent with background image, but with a height attribute equal
to the image height:

Some browsers seem to have trouble with background images… on the
site I’m working on now, I was able to add the background image as a
regular image as well as my pharked text. Seems to work okay.

That’s another one I like; have it on the short-list. The negative indent is such a simple solution.
