importing .mov file question

I’m attempting to add a .mov file and or a flash file
to my site. Unfortunately I want to butt it next to my CSS menu.
so, it seems to hide my submenu’s now no matter what I do. I can have a graphic box in the area, no problem, but anything else seems to cover my cssmenus. Any tips for applying the sWF or .mob file so that it’s transparent?

Plug-in content does this. You have to design around the problem, as
there is nothing you can really do about it. The only exception to
this rule is if you have Flash content over other Flash content.

Imagine as if the plug-in cut a big cookie cutter all the way through
your page, from the highest z-index to the lowest, and reserved that
space for itself. Nothing besides more plug-in content can occupy
that space.

If you made your menus with Flash, and set wmode=transparent on the
menu movie, then they could overlap other Flash content or HTML
content. But HTML will never appear “over” Flash.
