Importing previously designed html pages

I am contempating purchasing Freeway, but just read what someone wrote to Todd. Is it really true that I will need to redesign all my existing html pages in Freeway? I won’t be able to simply open them?

Hi Peter,

Because of the way FW works internally it’s much better at manipulating it’s own code rather than importing external stuff which it can do but it’s not a seamless transition. FW is not an editor so therefore being able to import/edit external code is not its strong suit. That said it can be very easy to recreate a site in FW - much easier than it may seem at first thought - believe it or not. But as I said earlier the only way to fully exploit the apps capabilities is to build it in FW.

I have some pages in Dreamweaver.
I’ve had some success and some problems bring them in.
I would suggest trying the demo and see what happens.
Don’t know what you were using before.
Freeway’s pretty cool and I’m going to stay with it and make the transition.
The more I use it the more I like it.

My web pages, more than 100, were created using Dreamweaver. When I try to open them in Freeway, they are greyed out. So how do I bring them in . . . recognizing that doing so won’t be seamless. Thanks for your advice.
