Can I use a power point document as a slide show in Freeway 4 or 5?

I don’t know Powerpoint, but I’d guess it would allow you to export a
presentation as a slideshow in a format that Freeway will be able to
use. I have Keynote, and that will export in Quicktime, Flash etc, so
I’d think Powerpoint would be similar.

best wishes,

You can if you export it as QuickTime or Flash. For the former, PP can
do it directly. For the latter, you will need to use Keynote (I think
– I don’t have a very recent version of PP).

Another trick would be to use PP to export a sequence of still images,
convert them to GIF or JPEG in Photoshop (PP exports these object-
based PICTs that are really hard to deal with directly), and then use
one or another slideshow Action tools to make your presentation go
automatically.

Speaking of Keynote and flash: has anyone actually succesfully used
it? In my experience Keynote Flash files are very large and
unattractive. Tons of compression artifacts, choppy animation, etc. I
tried creating flas banner ads using Keynote but had to give it up.
also, the minimum slide size limits that functionality.

Exactly my experience too. I’ve only ever been able to export as flash
to then open up in flash and re-work.
