Intaglio, pronounciation and meaning

now that I am the (proud) owner of a single user licence of Intaglio I wonder what this name stands for and how to spell it?

While searching for a drawing application that is powerful but easy to use I have found many that are far eaysier to speak out than Intaglio like Linform, VectorDesigner or ZeusDraw to name just three of them.

And each has something in its name indication what the program is meant to be.

We were looking for a term used in the graphic arts. At one point we considered Vignette but that was already used for something else. Intaglio is a type of engraving. In the graphics arts there’s a style of printing called Intaglio Gravure which is used for very high end work.

pronounciation

Please, not pronounciation. The word is pronunciation, pronounced as it is spelt. I hear it wrongly pronounced almost every day even on the radio.
