Intaglio Version 3.1 Released

Intaglio version 3.1 is now available for download at http://www.purgatorydesign.com/Intaglio/download.html

The changes include:

• Add support for compressed SVG files (.svgz) and allow bitmap images to be embedded in exported SVG files.

• Add peer to peer file sharing for drawings over the local network with other copies of Intaglio and Intaglio Sketchpad.

• Add “Paste and Match Style” to paste new text while retaining the existing text style.

• Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

An Intaglio update always is a good news.

Even though I understand it is primarily to communicate with tablets and ipods, I appreciate the idea of “peer-to-peer file sharing” since we already are amply using clipboard sharing (via DropCopy) for plenty of files and bits…

HELP!! I installed 3.1 and it crashes every 30 seconds. I trashed the old version, deleted files in ~/Library/Application Support and Preferences, redownloaded and reinstalled. Still crashes. Please advise!!

Thanks for that, I’d just today started using 3.1 only to find it would crash every time I started messing with text.

A quick check shows the update linked seems to be working okay.

There was a bug in 3.1 that crashed some computers when leaving text edit mode. Version 3.1.1 now replaces it and seems to be stable. If you’re having trouble with 3.1 I highly recommend downloading this new version. For those who had the problem, I’m sorry for the wasted time.
