produces high quality B&W dithered images from any image
better than the one in photoshop I think
useful for sending an image via fax or printing through a laser printer
or just to be ‘arty’

Oh man, it is 1985 all over again! 
Nice one, there aren’t that many ways to tackle this niche image
processing idea properly. Not since monochrome displays went the way
of the dodo, certainly.

Some time ago I did some experiments (and a MacUser tutorial) on
using this kind of process as a way of making custom four-colour
separations. The effects can be remarkable. But doing it well takes
care, experimenting and some real familiarity with how process inks
behave.
