I’m a novice at all this, and Freeway Express 5 is the first web design program I’ve used.
I downloaded the program and as such, I don’t have the manual.
For those of you that DO have the manual, is it worth printing out? Does it easily explain things like layering, slicing, and actions, etc., such that a novice can understand it all, or it is pretty much written so that you really need some experience to get much out of it?
I don’t want to waste the time and money printing it out, but feeling my way through this program using this forum and the knowledge base is getting tedious.
You can download the entire manual as a PDF – it’s exactly what you
would get if you ordered the print-on-demand version, since the PDF
is what the printers use to make that. Read a bit on your computer,
and decide for yourself.
I know that the latest manual is very complete and well written
(disclaimer: I helped edit it) but my opinion is probably worthless
because I’ve been using Freeway since it was a page-layout
application called Uniqorn. How well it reads to someone new to the
program is a question best asked of someone with less experience.

We might start referring to you as “The Ancient One”.

I concur. I have the manual as a PDF and use it very often. It includes plenty of visuals along with the how-to, plus additional info that enhances your understanding of the processes.
