I like this presentation - is it a carousel? If so, I haven’t been able to master how to set it up - is there a sample file I can download to give it a try?

Yes. You can create this using the Carousel Action. There’s a concise
description here:

Be sure to follow the instructions at the bottom of the page, in
order, and particularly be sure that you stack your individual
carousel panes directly above one another. There is a bug in the
Action, exposed by Opera 9.5, which I am working around right now.
Until I do, you can’t make your panes “out in the open” as I had
thought you could.
