Hello, I started using Freeway Pro when Adobe killed GoLive. I am still using it, but I am thinking it would be nice to start using my M2 Pro Mac mini and Tahoe for my WYSIWYG website-making.

I just went on the Xway forum, and it does not look like anyone has posted there in a minute or two, and the Xway website has a 2025 copyright. So I am wondering if Xway is going to be around for a long while and if it will get to versions 2 and 3, or what is happening?

Sincerely,

Robert Mitton

Hi Robert,

We’re planning to release a new version of Xway (1.2) later this week.

If you’re thinking of converting your Freeway site into an Xway site, you may find it easiest to do this on a system that can run both applications. Xway currently runs on Mojave (macOS 10.14), which is also the latest system that Freeway can run on.

Significant updates to Xway (Xway 1.1, Xway 1.2, etc.) generally happen within twelve months of the previous significant update. We sometimes release minor updates (e.g. 1.1.3) to fix bugs or issues.

We’re updating the website for the new release of Xway, so I expect it will have a 2026 copyright date soon!
