Japanese font support for AppleWorks file import

Hi, there.

I’m really happy with the feature to import AppleWorks draw files. But unfortunately, Intaglio does not convert text boxes with Japanese font properly.

Can I request to support this feature?

I had to break out laughing when I read this and I sure wish this were an Apple Support forum instead of Freeway. I love that Intaglio imports AppleWorks but I sure wish Apple would go retro on us and get back to some of their old core products such as AppleWorks. I have a customer who has a nice MacBook Pro but he just had me procure him a slightly older & used MacBook Pro so that he could run AppleWorks in Mac OS-X 10.5 as several AppleWorks features don’t work in 10.6. My Client now has a new to him MacBook Pro with a new 500GB D partitioned into 3 volumes.
Volume 1 is 90GB and is for 10.5
Volume 2 is 140GB and is for 10.6
Volume 3 is 270GB and has 10.7 Lion on it.

When the client gets used to Lion I will probably work magic and make Volume 2 disappear and the free disk space will all move to the Lion Volume.

Hi, Dale,

I’m sure Apple should provide proper file converters.
They have the right to inter their old product, but not my important files.

When I tried to ask Apple to make a converter program on the Apple’s discussion board, my article was deleted immediately by Apple because that was in violation of their rule, they say…

So, I hope Intaglio help me, and your customer.

Hi Tentuk,

I would love t see Apple give the source code of AppleWorks to some industrious group to revamp and sell again. AppleWorks was one of the easiest draw, paint, writing, spreadsheet tools ever available and it is sorely missed.
