Joomla or Freeway?

Or a whole bunch of both…

http://www.rimwrapz.com

I had seen a few threads searching about using Freeway tio make joomla templates. I took a different approach after some testing and research. My goal was a site re-do with a user forum and a shopping cart in a stable system I could build the wheel ordering app in.

I used a commercial joomla template, joomla and Virtuemart install, some hacking and includes. I have some of the content pages loading with includes so I can update them in Freeway with 100% control of the page, the rest of the content is managed in joomla.

I created a few code snips (Id love to have actions but thats over my head now) to work with markup items and Virtuemart. I get all the functionality of joomla and with the ease and control of editing key pages using Freeway.

I have a whole bunch more to do but but Im very happy with how it came together and the control. Im sure there will be some issues coming up but hopefully they are easy stuff to solve.

Including entire html docs in others is Im sure a bad practice, but Ive looked at it on a few different systems browsers and it seems fine.

Any feedback appreciated.

Or maybe not, it’s actually a Joomla! template isn’t it. A great example of what can be done in Freeway none-the-less. Have you tried the Joomla! Actions available on ActionsForge? http://www.actionsforge.com

Mi piacerebbe capire come hai fatto ad integrare freeway con joomla.
Hai usato azioni particolari?
Gli snips di cui parli quali sarebbero?
Te ne sarei molto grato se potessi darmi una spiegazione un poco più dettagliata, intanto ti ringrazio.
Ciao

I’d like to understand how did you integrate Freeway with Joomla.
Did you use any particular action?
Snips you’re talking about what would be?
I would be very grateful if you could give me a little more detailed explanation, in the meantime I thank you.
