Learn about Freeway

How did everyone learn about Freeway? I stumbled upon it on the internet, but besides tutorials, are there classes that I can take or a book I can read? Or is it just a matter of playing with the program?

Not a single book is available at this time. The manual that Softpress provides as a pdf file covers the software functionality as well as general usage info.

This forum is really the best source of tips and tricks for learning what Freeway can, and can’t do available presently. Softpress’s web site has it’s own knowledge base of useful information also. The trick for using either is coming up with the correct search phrase in order to find what you need help with, or just starting a new thread will most likely get you an answer.

I personally learned alot from reading a previous incarnation of this forum, as well as this one, but mostly from experimentaion and trial and error. CSS related design info is covered by dozens of very good existing books and interenet sources not related to Freeway specifically, you just have to learn how to apply the information in them to the way Freeway handles things. There are some very helpful people here who watch this board and answer most of the questions that get posted. Sometimes the Softpress folks chime in also.

Hi,
I have a site http://www.thehorsefence.com - The index page is fine in Safari. However, on FoxFire there is a white line across two places on the page - at the beginning and at the end of the table. I cannot seem to solve this problem.

Thanks for your help.

Seconded - The easiest way is if you have a problem - Ask a question.

Somebody here will answer.

Reducing the size of the text gets rid of the lines so the problem is in how you have put together the graphic items on the left of the page.

In the View menu enable HTML layout and you will see the structure on your page and you will see what HTML item(s) are breaking your page apart.
