Do you also want to ‘scrub’ your way through the images (or at least animate them) when the user hovers over the thumbnail (a bit like iPhoto does with grouped images)?

Tim.

Does anyone know of a Lightbox script that has a slideshow function on the thumbnail rather than show all thumbnails?
Or I need a help of a javascript guru to make Lightbox 2 animate it’s thumbnail (paid work here btw)
Do you want an animated (sliding) series of thumbs that when clicked show the larger image in a lightbox like effect - but in normal state dont show a larger image?
Never thought os ‘scrub’ on mouse over. The client mentioned animating each thumbnail. But scrub would be better as there’s more than one gallery.
The whole thing is to hook into perchcms

I think it’s easy to just add a single image. I could add a hover overlay of a magnifying glass with CSS. Which would be Ok to allow the Perch editor to edit all images including the single thumbnail.
Your example has the overlay baked in to the thumbnail image. The interesting bit will be to work out how to show an overlay magnifying glass all the time yet still link to the first image popup if it’s clicked. I’m thinking tablets have no hover so will never know it’s clickable.
