Lines showing through header

What am I doing wrong on this page?

http://www.detailsbydesign.com/TDUpload3/homepage.html

Lines show through the gray background around the header and extend all the way across to the background on both sides.
My guess is that it has something to do with Layers, but after 2 hours of pulling my hair out I can’t solve it.

Help!

I don’t see anything wrong here. Try forcing a refresh in your cache. Hold down the Shift key and press the Reload button.

Don’t fire up the BBQ just yet, Firefox 3 still has those “lines” you were talking about (I cleared the cache as well.) Although I don’t see them on Safari, it sounds like you have a browser specific problem here.

Yes I also see it in FF3

Does it still appear without the slideshow in place

Gee. I thought it was just me and that I didn’t know how to clear the cache in FF3.

Any suggestions as to what’s going on here. A layer problem? Combine images? The elements see to bleed through to the background. Doesn’t show up in preview mode, only when I view in browser. (Of course, that’s the problem).

After many hours I think I figured out the problem. When I put graphics in the page I drew the graphic box.

This time I “inserted” the graphics. That’s made all the difference.

Nothing up yet because I have many pages to fix. But expect I’ll have something up to review by the end of the day. (Eastern time USA)

Great, sounds like you figured it out. There were lines of all kinds around various things I didn’t know specifically what you were talking about, but I look forward to seeing the end result.

One quick note I discovered after I uploaded it. The flash slideshow at the top has the black mask showing top and bottom. I went back and clicked the “Fit Box to Content” button and that solved it.
My next revision upload will take care of that.
