Link Colors Varying in Browsers

Using FW5 the link colors are different (wrong) in mac Firefox than in Safari or PC Firefox, here…
http://www.uccl.org/glr/index.html

“contact” is correct in all=lime color

“here” is wrong = blue in mac FF, correct = white in others

“Dr. Barbara Marx Hubbard” is wrong = blue in mac FF, correct = lime in others

Thanks,

Jacob

Well …

#item2 a:link { color:#ccfe9a
#item2 a:hover { color:#d59c37 }
#item3 a:link { color:#fff }
#item4 a:link { color:#ccfe9a }
#item4 a:hover { color:#f90 }

As far as I can see the link-colors are different, and there is no hoverstate for item3 …

The issue is that, unless you are adding these styles in the HTML
Markup dialog, Freeway will helpfully alphabetize them for you, which
renders them useless. All styles published by Freeway using the main
Edit Styles dialog are published to the head of your page in
alphabetical order.

a:link must come before a:hover for the styles to work. (The mnemonic
I use was posted years ago by Paula Petrik, LoVe HAte: Link, Visited,
Hover, Active.)

I have posted feature requests over and over to address this, what I
would really like to see is a completely user-driven order to the
styles palette list. Drag and drop, to be precise. This would allow
more complex styles to be built up using the cascade part of CSS more
effectively.

Which version of Mac Firefox are you using? In 2.0.0.13, the link
colours all look correct to me… (Lime green with orange hover for
“contact” and “Dr. Barbara Marx Hubbard”, and white with no change on
hover for “here…”

Hi Jacob,

The blue color is the visited state. Once a link has been clicked the
default visited color will be used, this is the same in all browsers.
You would need to set the Visited color to lime green or white
(depending on the link you are doing).

I hope this helps,

Joe

Thanks Joe. That did it. A standard I was not aware of.

Thanks again,
Jacob
