List with bullets but not

Short question:

How can I place a bullet list (within a text) left aligned?
(Not moved to the right)

Create your list as normal, select the text and in the bottom of the Text Inspector there is a disclosure triangle that reveals the List Formatter.

Indent once (one click on the right arrow)

Then from the drop down choose unindented

Thank you David. I knew that – but if I do that, the bullets disappear …

Do you mean you want the bullets outside the text to the left

Hi Tom
I have found that the bulleting control that freeway uses is just plain odd so to get around the difficulties

  1. create a few lines of text with a couple of returns
  2. highlight those line and apply a normal default list via the inspector palette (do NOT apply the unindented dropdown as this will remove the bullets as well)
  3. create a new style and call it lists and in the paragraph drop-down use default
  4. click extended and ad this in the Name field: list-style-position
  5. and this in the value field: inside and click ok
  6. now add another attribute of Name: margin-left and a value of 0px click ok
  7. now add the last attribute of Name: padding-left and a value of 0px and click ok
  8. now highlight your list and apply that style to the list

Thats it you should now have a bulleted list which is unindented

Is there any way that instead of the offered characters for the bullets or numbering, can I get a little arrow ??

I know this can be done in the CSS Menu styler, but can the arrows be substituted for bullets in the list?

Thanks,

Rich

Tim Plumb has an Action that allows you to create styled lists with
your own choice of little GIF images. Have a look on
FreewayActions.com or ActionsForge.

This works great, but the second line in the bullet doesn’t get indented
