I’ve used Image Guardian and it works really well. Nothing stops someone from doing a screen grab though apart from a watermark.

If you can see it then it can be ‘stolen’.
The Only real way to prevent unauthorised use is by Watermarking - or by not putting it up there in the first place.

Remember that you only need 1 image - the large one - which can be used as the thumb as well.

So I would choose the same photo for the image and the lightbox. Even if I choose it 2x it only uploads 1 correct?

Not quite. The large one uploads in full size, then Freeway makes a
reduced copy for your thumbnail based on how you have designed your
page. It’s still going to be two different image files at two
different sizes. You may want to manually create your thumbnail images
with the watermark larger. What works well to discourage theft on the
large image will possibly be too subtle on the thumbnail. Of course,
the thumbnail is largely worthless from a theft and reuse standpoint,
so it may be a diminishing returns sort of thing there.

Graphic link to file points to the big image with the watermark.
For the thumbnail you import the same image and scale and crop to suit.
FW will upload its converted/scaled version of the big one for the thumb and the unchanged large file for ScriptyLB
