Logo icon in address area

Hi FW group,
I have two questions:
How do you add a logo icon in the left side of the browser area of the address window. I just have a blank page now but a lot of sites (including freeway) have a logo.

Second question. How do you have a vertical space in the top part of the browser area to divide you page titles. This forum has it shown at top.

My site is http://www.neabundance.com/New England.html

Thanks in advance for your help.

To get the small logo in the web browser to appear you have to first create one at the correct dimensions. Then simply upload it to your webspace (not in a directory, just /) For the file to appear you have to name it ‘favicon.ico’

Here’s the example for this website:
http://wwwfreewaytalk.net/favicon.ico

The page divide at the top is done using a background image which is tiled along the top. The image used here is: http://freewaytalk.net/Resources/grayslice.jpg To do this first create a background that will tile smoothly, then using the option to add a background in Freeway add it in…

Hope that helps.

Hi Andre,
The FavIcon action should help you with this;

As well as the action you can also find information about how to best create
your icon.

Tim.

Hi Andre

Just a small point about your file/page naming - your example above has New England with a space in the file name.

You should avoid this wherever possible as some servers will fall over when they come across this - and you will see in the forum view that your link is broken because of it.

Instead either use newengland.html or new_england.html or new-england.html and this will avoid any file/linking problems.
