I seem to have lost a Freeway file and the backup file is out of date. The project folder on my Mac has all of the new Freeway folders and pages.
Is there a happy outcome to this. Or do I get my coat now?

How out of date is your .fwbackup Freeway backup file? That might be the easiest route if you’ve no backup of the master file.
