M-dashes

Do M-dashes display properly as html on most browsers these days or should I replace them with two hyphens?

The most recent versions of Safari and FF display them just fine, but I don’t have any other browsers to check them with.

I’m wondering about IE 7. That’s still gets the most counts on our website.

Thank you.

A simple test should provide the answer.
Here’s my very basic example page;
http://www.freewayactions.com/test/m-dash/
and here’s the IE 7 rendering from NetRenderer;
http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/index.php?browser=ie7&url=http://www.freewayactions.com/test/m-dash/
As you can see the encoded dash appears perfectly well in IE 7.
Regards,
Tim.

Thank you, Tim. I didn’t know about NetRender. Pretty cool.
