MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) incompatibility

I got mine from the Intaglio Website - I guess the Appstore variant is on review by Apple which might take a few days regularly.
@Ingemar. What bugs are you talking about?

Cheers

3.9 crasches regularly. 3.4.4 does not. Simple as that. I just had to go
back to 3.4.4 to be productive. I don’t want to lose work several times
a day.

No problems at all for me with 3.9.5 (both the release version and the beta) with MacOS 10.13 and the 10.13.1 public betas, so far. Many thanks to Nick. I have to admit I got worried when the fix didn’t appear until several weeks after 10.13 started to be available.

I’d like to reach out to Nick and point out that, if he needs more support
to keep the software up to date, I’d be happy to pay a small fee for the
updates, every 2-3 years, say. What do you guys think? I believe that Apple
is pushing (sometimes nonsensically) developers to release software on a
yearly cycle, and I sympathise with developers.

„Check for updates“ for the AppStore version will just work when the update is online which is not the case right now (20th.Oct.2017)
@ Ingemar. If you encounter crashes the best is to collect crash-logs+file (Console.app) and send it over to Nick - otherwise he might not know about it and it don´t will be fixed; Simple as.
I can´t remember last time Intaglio crashes on me - maybe 2 or 3 times a year by evaluation experimental SVG files - but thanks to the autosave function I never lost content.
@ Daniele. I guess Nick lost quite some income with the sudden bankruptcy of KAGI as his payment processor last year. Don´t have any idea why he still links to the dead site and didn´t get a replacement like FastSpring e.g. Apple´s AppStore is a nightmare regarding update management - it´s simply not available until you give it for free or release a complete new version for full payment.

Cheers,

Frank

So here’s my problem:

  1. The most recent version of Intaglio I have is 3.2.1.
  2. It was originally resident in a folder titled Intaglio in the Documents folder, not in the Applications folder.
  3. I forgot why it was where it was and moved the file Intaglio321 to my applications folder. I couldn’t open it from there—kept get an “Intaglio quit unexpectedly” message and re-trying doesn’t work either.
  4. I moved it back into the Intaglio folder in Documents, but now I can’t open it even from there—keep getting the same quit message.
  5. I can open the app from any of my Intaglio documents, but I can’t upgrade from these because I can’t upgrade from within the open doc.

Anyone have advice about how I can upgrade?

Still running Sierra, 10.12.6.

Many thanks,

Julie Martin

Yes, of course I can. I just looked and looked and simply couldn’t see it.

Hanging head in shame, but many thanks,
