MailChip FreewayPro email

Hi,

I created a mail newsletter with FWP 6.x and tried to use MailChimp to send it. I used the URL for that. Unfortunately the “Like Box” in the layout disappeared when is was tested/send. I got in touch with MailChimp explaining I don’t need direct interaction, just show the Facebook Like Box (as in a website). I’ve got this answer:

"Hi Lode,

MailChimp?s site is designed to help our customers easily build their campaigns the way that they want. We do offer the feature to import url?s from other sources but in this situation we technically can not see the code used for your page. Therefore limiting our troubleshooting capability. You might want to reach out to the source of the url and see if it can be changed from the site you received it from.

We really appreciate you as a customer so if you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you,
Tuere"

As I need to send this newsletter today, I used “a dummy Facebook Like Box” with a link for now. Is there a way to solve this?

Thanks a lot.

Lode

You can’t rely on JavaScript executing in an e-mail – even if it’s being seen in a webmail context like Gmail or the like. What you did (screenshot of the button and a simple link) is the most bulletproof way to do this, and recommended for this setting.
